Question:
Current breaks on horse trailer are the original 12inch AL-KO. Would I be able to purchase this assembly and use the same drums? thank you in advance!

Hey James, the # 23-105-09 and # 23-106-09 are usually what we recommend for the 12 inch AL KO axle brake assemblies as normally the AL KO 12 inch assemblies use a 4 bolt mounting pattern as these have both that and the standard 5 bolt pattern. Since what you have in your picture is a 5 lug you could use the part # 23-180-181 that you referenced as well. This will bolt right up in place of what you have now and would work with the drums you have now as well as long as they are not worn out. How old do you think your current assemblies are?

Trails west horse trailer is 2004. And everything looks original, so I’m assuming from that time. Drums appear to be in good shape.
