Question:
I am looking for the wiring harness for my 2017 Ford F150 PLATINUM series with LED tail lights. I have tried two different curt wiring harnesses and neither worked. The one that connected underneath at the spare tire didnt line up but size of plugs was right. The next one that was supposed to be for the LED and connect to plugs in the tail lights was the wrong size plugs - about a 1/2 inch difference in width. I have paid two different mechanics to install and uninstall these harnesses and am totally fed up. Can you provide me with the correct harness for my truck?

Hey Linda, thanks for reaching out, that's definitely frustrating. We list a few different wiring harnesses for the 2017 Ford F-150 Platinum, so we should be able to set you up. The correct harness will depend on what kind of factory wiring you have.
It sounds like your F-150 does not have any kind of factory wiring, so in that case we can set you up with wiring, but you will be splicing into the factory wiring. You can use the Curt # C58044 to add a 4-flat connector. Then use the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 to upgrade that to a 7-way.
What two Curt kits did you try? Do you remember the part numbers?
Does your truck have a factory tow package?
Are you needing to add a 7-way and brake controller? Or just a 4-flat?
