Parts Needed To Transfer Flat Tow Setup From 2014 Jeep Wrangler to 2026 Wrangler Moab 392

I have a Foretravel Motothome on a Spartan K2 Chassis. I towed a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, outfitted with flat tow equipment I purchased from Trailer, ie. Demco Airforce One brake system, Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar and base plate, light wiring, battery charge line. I have removed the above from the 2014 Jeep. I purchased a 2026 Moab 392 Jeep Wrangler and would now like to put the kit on the new Jeep. What new parts do I need and where is the best place to mount the Airforce One. On the 2014 Jeep I had it mounted under the drivers seat. doesnt look there is enough room on the 2026. Do you have a video instruction for the 2026 Moab 392?

Hey Ken! To transfer the Air Force One you need the Towed Vehicle Reinstall Kit for Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99226. Are you referring to mounting the main unit? The best place is going to be on the fuse box under the hood. I went ahead and attached an installation video from a 2025 Wrangler further down on this page for your reference.
It looks like the MOAB 392 comes with the factory steel bumper so for a base plate kit you can use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM35GR. Do you need new wiring as well? If your original wiring was the standard diode kit, you can use the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit # RM63MR which is designed for models with ParkSense. If you need a new charge line kit that would be # RM-156-25.

I purchased the reinstall kit for my new jeep as I took the Air Force one off my 4 runner. I could not find anyone who would install it for me as they all claimed it would be a liability issue for them since they could not guarantee it would work or was in working condition. Since we travel full time I had no place I could do the work myself. If they are going to sell these kits they should have dealers who would install them.

Just transferred the Air Force braking system to my 2026 392. I mounted mine with Velcro to the felt cover near the battery. It holds nicely and fits. I reinstalled it with etrailers kit. It was a super easy install. Feel free to reach out with any questions on it. I did it in about a hour (once I watched 100 hours of trailer videos lol). I’d post a pic but it doesn’t give me an option to.
