Looking For Replacement Entry Door Latch For 2011 Forest River Cherokee 29U With Non-Standard Cutout

Question:

I have a 2011 Forest River Cherokee 29U and I need a replacement entry door latch. I recently ordered this part number 295-000021 but when I went to install it I found it to be too short. Its not tall enough for the opening in the door. Do you carry a door latch that is taller to fit this opening. I included a photo of the existing latch.

Hey Nick, thanks for reaching out. Yea that latch in your picture is definitely not a standard size. The big thing to figure out here is the size of your door cutout. That will be the main factor in determining what latch you can use.

For example, you might be able to use something like the Bauer Products European Style Motorhome Entry Lock # BA58AR which fits a 7-7/16" tall x 3-3/4" wide cutout.

Did you happen to measure the cutout when you took the old latch out?
