Features to know about

Secure and Steady: True Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs

When you’re hauling a camper, stability matters. These TorkLift rear tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—so your camper stays solidly in place without bending or twisting the bed or bumper. Because the weight is distributed evenly and the center of gravity sits lower, you get better handling and less sway in crosswinds. The result is a safer, more comfortable ride that feels steady even on long trips.

Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Mounting

Each tie-down is built for a custom fit and bolts right to pre-existing holes in the frame. That means little to no drilling and no need to modify your truck. The brackets mount tight with minimal loss of ground clearance, keeping everything tucked up and out of the way. Once installed, these tie-downs are ready for use without changing your truck’s structure or appearance.

Keep It Clean: Removable Arms for a Factory Look

You don’t have to give up your truck’s good looks to carry a camper. The brackets sit nearly flush with the underside of the frame, and you can remove the tie-down arms when not in use—leaving behind hardware that’s barely visible. When it’s time to load up again, simply slide the arms back in place for a secure connection.

Truck side view showing TorkLift frame-mounted camper tie-down brackets nearly flush beneath the vehicle for a clean, low-profile appearance when not in use.

Built Tough: Black Powder Coated Steel

Made from heavy-duty powder coated steel, these tie-downs are built to handle rough use and resist corrosion over time. The finish helps protect against chips, rust, and road salt so they hold up season after season. With their solid steel construction and precision fit, these mounts stay strong no matter how far the road takes you.

Easy Camper Connection: Adjustable Anchor Points

Each arm has two pin holes for adjustable reach, letting you extend them far enough to clear fenders or sidewalls. Two anchor holes on the attachment plate let you set the best angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately), keeping tension even and preventing your camper from shifting. This setup makes loading simple and ensures a tight, secure hold every time.

First, Andy was great to work with and very helpful.
I bought and installed the frame mounted Torklift camper mounts on my 2021 GMC 2500HD Sierra Denali and I’m very pleased with them, they’re stout. As long as you’re mechanically inclined and can follow instructions you should be able to install them yourself without assistance.

Product is working great , what is fantastic is the engineering for the fit to the vehicle and the tools they give you to fish and hold bolts where they need to be during installation. Great thought process for instruction for installation.

by:
The best system one can buy for worry free travel. Etrailer communication has been superb.
by:
The TorkLift camper tie downs you delivered were easy to instal and certainly served the application intended. The best part of the purchase was the way that you followed up to make sure that I had received the order and that they fit as they were supposed too. And now a year later you have contacted me again, to ensure that I am pleased with my purchase. GREAT product, and Awesome Service.

Much appreciated
by:
I bought these for my 2020 Silverado 2500HD, and the fit was excellent. The instructions imply that the rear exhaust hanger may need to be repositioned for installation, I did not find this to be the case. I advise any users to read and understand the instructions prior to installation, but with that in mind, installation only took a little over an hour and a half. The fit was great and the inserts fit closely, but without contacting the body panels. Very covert! A piece missed in the instructions is that you will need to remove the spare tire safety cable clipping bracket on the drivers side permanently. There is a location on the tie down bracket to clip the cable back to the truck.
by:
No nuts in packing. Along with the trouble I had with you and a dealership in Asheville.I just went and bought some at ACE Hardware. I understand some things don’t always go as planned, but twice!I hope I don’t need to get anything else from you in the future. If so I will start a month in advance.
by:
Great fit. Easy to install and awesome customer service.
Even with one set that B.O. (backorder), I still received it within a week.
Truly a reliable company.

Couldnt ask for anything better. I am using them on a regular basis. When not in use I remove, clean and store them in my garage. No rust issues and the brackets attached to the truck are just as solid as when I first torqued them to the trucks frame. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for proper camper tie-downs. PS: Their customer service, as always, I outstanding!

by:
Just like the front set, very heavy duty. I did mine without lowering rear tire or exhaust pipe. Fishing the bolts through the frame is a little tricky but when finished these are not coming off. Great communication throughout the ordering/shipping process.
by:
Keep in mind the parameters of the application these may be different on another vehicle. Camper is a Northern lite 9-6. Vehicle Chevy 3500 LB SRW 4x4. Post install, in my opinion. I’d feel my comfortable if the ‘FastGun’ tie downs were facing opposing directions. Currently attaching to the designated anchor points all four FG’s angle from the TorkFit anchor point BACK towards the NL camper’s anchor points. This positively prevents the 3600 LB. camper from rearward movement. However FOWARD movement can and has occurred. After a necessary sudden braking event I checked my clearances and discovered that forward movement did occur. About, one inch. My NL slid far enough forward that contact was made between the vehicle and the camper. Realignment was necessary. From an Engineers perspective: the best anchorage would be achieved with the anchoring devices (FastGuns, in my case) installed in opposing directions. In the future I will be placing blocks between the camper and the front of the truck bed to eliminate any forward movement.

etrailer videos made install easy quick shipment great cust service when I ordered wrong ones ( they made it right quick)
by:
Everything worked like it should. Easy install.
by:
This particular order was to correct a problem I made in the original order which resulted in me receiving the wrong part. etrailer made the return process very easy and helped me figure out my error and get the right part ordered.
I have ordered several items in the past few years from etrailer and things have gone well each time. Great place to do business with.
by:
Excellent design and product. Pretty much the only company out there with frame mounted tie downs. This is my second set I have purchased over the years. The only area for improvement is packaging. It’s 2021 and you’re wrapping powder coated steel in loose paper for shipping?? The brackets have ding marks and scratches and powder coat chips. Mix in some internal cardboard, bubble wrap or styrofoam.
by:
etrailer.com is great! They assisted wife and I with ordering the correct camper tie downs and they arrived fast and ready for us to do our part. Torklift also answered some of our questions prior to ordering and installation as well - very friendly and helpful. Read through the Torklift directions a couple of times and began installation. Caution - chase all nuts and bolts with tap and die to ensure smooth and easy threading once these are in place with fish wires and so on. There were some 'catchy' threads on some bolts and without the tap and die chase they would have given us some trouble tightening them down to torque specs. 4 hours to install front and back mounting brackets on a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 HD Duramax crew cab running boards stop at back of cab. Once installed they look great and are tucked under the box bottom for clean lines and ease of access when needed. Great product and would recommend to anyone looking for this type of setup. PS we are not 'mechanics' yet the installation was still easy - we took our time.

3. They attach to the frame. This makes for a very solid ride experience.

  • Recommended TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs For A 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali Crew-Cab Short Bed
Hey Richard, The length is fine but you'll need to check whether or not your running boards (if you have them) extend past the cab to under the bed. If they do they will block front tie-downs from being installed and would need to be removed. If removed or they only sit under the cab then you can use the TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs - Front # TLC2225 and Rear # TLC3221. To complete your setup you can use the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs # TLS9529-2-LK.
