The GE Appliances Low-Profile RV AC w/Heat Pump 13.5K part # GE96RR does not come with a soft start installed. For this unit, they use a high-performance motor with sound dampening rubber grommets and a dual fan design to reduce noise and vibration. If you're wanting to install a soft start in this unit, I recommend using the ActiveStart Active Controls Soft Start for RV ACs part # AS64FR. It will help keep the air conditioner's compressor quiet and reduce start up power demands by up to 80%.
