Hey John, thanks for reaching out. We should have a hub for you, but I'll need a bit more info in order to be sure you are getting the right thing. Knowing it's a straight spindle definitely helps. Do you happen to know the diameter of the spindle and/or the ID of the bearings? That will really be the last piece of the puzzle since we know the bolt pattern and wheel size. If you know the axle weight rating, that will help too.

For example, if it's a 1" diameter spindle, the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-1K will fit that.

Or if it's a 1-1/16" diameter spindle, the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-2K fits that.

Both of these hubs are rated for a 2,000 lb axle and they come pre-greased.

I installed hubs on a Malone trailer I use to transport my Kayaks. 8 inch wheels. There performance has been no problem. It was easer for me to buy new then to repack and to replace the seals on the old hubs. I do put the trailer on blocks when I I am not using it for long periods. Small wheels I keep my driving speed at 65 and the hubs have been cool to warm after a 210 mile trip. I’m a costal salt water fisherman. I avoid putting the wheels in salt water. Overall I am very pleased after 2 years.

@Charles Thanks for the great long-term update, Charles! Sounds like those hubs have been holding up exactly the way they should, and it’s good to hear they’re still running cool even with those smaller 8-inch wheels. Really appreciate the extra tips too. Thanks for sharing!
