How Far Apart Are The Bolt Holes On etrailer Scissor Jacks e56VV ?

Updated 04/21/2026 | Published 04/14/2026

Question:

What is the center-to-center distance between the two closest mount holes on the bracket? I have two existing studs ~80mm apart and want to see if this is workable.

Hey Luke!

On the etrailer scissor jacks # e56VV, the closest bolt holes center-to-center are about 3-1/2" apart, while the next set of holes is 4-1/2" center-to-center. Since yours are currently 80mm apart, that translates to a little less than 3-1/2". If it won't fit right over the studs, you could try to wallow out the holes a little to fit, but keep in mind that would go against instructions and you'd be on your own as far as warranty goes etc.

Other option is to just see if you can use new hardware on your trailer. What kind of trailer is it?

You should be fine regardless, just grab a couple self tapping bolts if the space doesn't line up

With the new heavier duty jacks that I bought all holes didn’t line up perfectly with the jacks I replaced but 1 x 11/36 drill bit, 1 x 9/16 socket and 3/8 self tapping bolts you can get it done. Hope this helps…

For some reason I can’t post a picture, with a metric ruler you can see the two closest holes 80-85mm apart on centers. 80mm is about as close as you’re going to get. if you can flex that to 80-85mm I think you’ll have room. If you need 80mm or less you might need to break out a file to “move” the hole a few mm.
