Question:
Im wanting to use a similar set-up for a 6 wide door on my cousins shed. Id like to know if you have a rating higher than this due to the shed door possibly being heavier than 120lbs. Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 6 Wide Enclosed Trailer - Single Spring - 120-lb Capacity Part Number: 362SA6

Thanks for your question, Dale! That’s actually a pretty smart way to use these springs.
We do have a couple of higher-capacity options that may work better for a heavier shed door:
- Part # M326FR – 6-1/2 ft. long and rated for 150 lbs
- Part # M346FR – 7 ft. long, rated for 160 lbs, and uses a dual-spring setup
Even though the rods are longer on these two options, they can still be adjusted to fit a 6 ft. wide door, and the rod can be cut down to size if needed.
What is the shed door made out of?
