Question:
Where is the measurement for these taken? I have an Extreme Engineering trailer for my wake boat. The Dexter Vault caps on the trailer measure 2.4inch diameter. The GAWR is 4200 lbs. The caps for the 4200 axles are listed at 2.3inch diameter, the 6000 axles are listed at 2.4. Trying to make sure i get the right ones ordered. Thanks!

Hey Shawn, thanks for reaching out. For the Trailer Buddy Vault assemblies in the # DX23ER kit, the measurement is taken at the base of the cap where is drives into the hub. The 2.328" measurement listed is the OD of the base of the cap. These are made for Trailer Buddy axles rated between 4,200 and 5,200 lbs. Sounds like they might be a bit small for your axle.
For your axle, if you are measuring the hub bore at 2.4", what you'll likely need is the following:
- Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 2441SS - Stainless Steel (Pair) # BB2441SS
These are made for a 2.4" hub bore. The caps measure at 2.441".
