Question:
I need a front mount hitch for my 2006 Forest river 235GTS. This is a Ford EE450, cut-away chassis. recommendations please?

Hey Dave! What you need is the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 33055. This is designed to fit the E-450 RV Cutaway your 235GTS is built on. It has a bolt-on installation with a 2" receiver and a vertical load limit of 500 lbs.

I installed one on both a 2003 F350 Crew Cab 4x4 6.0 and a 2004 E350 4x4 6.0. Fairly Easy install, not expensive for what I was achieving, doesn’t rob your fog lights, didn’t have to replace bumper, and was able to add a winch to both vehicles using this receiver. I have a 2001 F350 exactly the same but a 7.3 and I’d like to do the same, but the option that’s available requires loosing fog lights and I haven’t decided if I’d rather go another direction to accomplish similar result??

I mounted this hitch on my 2002 E450 and it was a really easy install and works great. I have used ot to haul a little motorcycle and it handled it perfectly. In the future I think I am going to use it to mount a storage container of some sort.
