Question:
Hi, the description of this says it fits opening of 14 1/4x 14 1/4 , the chilly e heat pump that is back ordered till end of May they said fits 14x14 was thinking about putting this vent in before our air conditioner comes in and then just swap it but like I said hole opening is different?

Yes Amie, that works and honestly it's a great idea.
Roof vents like the Ventline with fan # V2128SP-01 and RV A/C's all use the same size opening.
The 14" x 14" measurement refers to the cutout in your roof.
The 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" measurement refers to the outside frame of the vent that sits on top of the roof.
Because of this, you can absolutely install the vent now and then swap it out later for an RV A/C, it will use that same 14" x 14" opening. The only thing I’d recommend is installing the vent with removal in mind by using standard sealant, nothing overly permanent so the AC install later goes smoothly.
# 344270KITW is the Roof Vent Installation Kit if you need it. This includes the sealant, roll of butyl tape, wood screws and sheet metal screws for a complete install.
Are you a full-time RV user or mostly short/weekend trips?
