Replacing a NorCold 621F in a Citation Supreme truck camper. Is this NC73FR a good fit?

Hi Tom, the Norcold Polar Full RV Refrigerator part # NC73FR will work great as a replacement for your Norcold 621F, but it is not a true drop in fit mainly because it is about an inch and a half deeper, so it will likely stick out slightly more. The height of the NC73FR is 2" shorter and the width is the same so you are good there.
The other big difference is that you’d be moving from a propane and electric absorption fridge to a fully 12 volt compressor fridge. The NC73FR cools faster and holds temperature better, which is a really nice upgrade, but it relies entirely on your battery system, so you’ll want to make sure your power setup can support it depending on how you camp. If you’re used to running on propane off grid, that’s something to think through before making the switch.
At a minimum, you’ll want a solid deep cycle battery, and most people lean toward lithium if they spend time off grid since it gives you more usable capacity. You’ll also need a good way to keep that battery charged, whether that’s shore power with a charger, solar if you’re parked without hookups, or a DC to DC charger if you want to charge efficiently while driving.
As long as your cabinet depth can handle that extra inch and a half and you have a good power setup, this is a strong upgrade that a lot of people are happy with.
