Question:
I’ve got a 50 amp fifth wheel and I want to be able to use most of my outlets when I’m off-grid, not just one or two. Do I need one of the bigger inverter/chargers for that?

Good morning Melissa!
For a 50 amp coach, something like the 2,400w (5,500w peak) Victron Quattro II # VN42VR 12V or # VN58ZR 24V is designed to tie into your system and keep both legs of your panel active for 120V loads when you’re off-grid. The key difference between those two is simply your battery bank voltage - 12V vs 24V.
If you’re building a larger system or thinking long-term especially with solar, the 4,000w (10,000w peak) Victron Quattro # VN95VR 48V is more of a full power solution, but that would require a 48V battery bank to match.
So the first thing I’d look at is: what voltage battery bank are you running now, and what are you hoping to power - just outlets and kitchen gear, or anything heavier?
