Now this is a communications cable, not a power cable, and this is going to be right at about 5.9 feet long. And again, this is an RJ45 UTP cable, and this looks like a standard ethernet cable, but this is specifically intended for Victron system communications. Now, this is used to connect those Victron devices together, allowing them to talk to each other. For example, this can link inverters and inverter chargers, GX devices like Cerbo GX interfaces, such as MK3-USB, remote control panels like the digital multi control.
So this cable, again, only carries data. It enables features like monitoring configuration, coordinated operation through VE.Bus, or VE.Can networks. And while again, it does look like an ethernet cable, Victron does recommend using their branded cables to ensure proper pinout reliability and system compatibility.
