Question:

I have an enclosed trailer with back side closing doors that use corner T strap hinges. I use the trailer as a mobile sales office and need door holders to hold the doors out at a 45 degree angle. Nothing I have seen works. Do you have any suggestions? I can send photos to illustrate if you like.

Hey Lyndon. For a door holder that will open your trailer doors to a 45° angle, I recommend the Keeper Door Holder item # 37211765. This holder is also a t-hook style but it's been designed specifically with a bend and will prop your trailer's doors open at a 45° angle.

The Keeper Door Holder item # 37211765 is sold individually and comes with two sets of mounting brackets and the necessary installation hardware.

Nope! Bought and a fail. Be ause od the way the hinges work, the door ends up without 8 inches of gap between the door and the trailer rear surface. The keeper would need to be at least 12 to 14 inches long to reach.

I purchased one and it works great. The only thing I struggle with is sometimes we need to keep our trailers close together, side by side to save space (we haul vintage cars). The 45 degree angle isn’t great for that. Also, the spring that holds back the arm is very nice. Keeps it snug when you are on the move.
