If I don’t get the MOLLE panel kit, where do most people store the demco recon hitches when it’s not in use?

Hey Tom, if you go with the hitch-only version # DM63UV, most people either store the pieces in the bed or take them out and keep them in the garage.
The nice thing is that the Recon Stealth breaks down into three smaller sections, and the base folds down, so it’s much easier to store than a full-size hitch. But without the MOLLE panel kits, you won’t have that dedicated front-of-bed mounting spot. I recommend looking into the complete setup with MOLLE storage kit for front of bed storage:
- # DM54QJ for Ford F250 & F350 (2017-2026 model years)
- # DM82SJ for Chevy Silverado/Sierra 2500 & 3500 (2020-2026 model years)
- # DM22SJ for RAM 2500 & 3500 (2019-2026 model years)
So the hitch-only version gives you the same towing setup since the hitch itself is 100% identical, while the kits add the cleaner in-bed storage solution.
Are you planning to leave the hitch in the truck between trips, Tom, or do you want it completely out of the bed when you’re done towing?
