Question:

I am looking at the Redarc Tow pro Elite and the Liberty brake controllers for a 2010 Chevy Tahoe. Your website states that the Liberty controller is not compatible with the car, although looking at the specs from Redarc, it should work with the Tahoe. Am I missing something? The trailer has hydraulic /electric disk brakes. Thanks

Hey Rolf! You're not missing anything, you can install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR on your 2010 Chevy Tahoe. Sometimes our brake controllers end up outside of the fitguide on certain vehicles. Realistically, any brake controller can be installed on your Tahoe as long as you have a 7-way.

The only difference between the Liberty and the Elite # RED44FR is the Elite has an off-road mode which gives you direct control over braking power. Most people have no use for this feature, so it is typically better to save yourself some money and get the Liberty.
