Question:

i have a 2004 newmar kountry star 5th wheel with a 13500 dometic ac with 5 button ccc . i need a replacement ac ,would like to upgrade to 15000 and possibly a thermostat if im unable to find a compatiple ac to the 5 button ccc

Hey Tim!

You will need to replace the whole system, including the Comfort Control Center thermostat. The reason is that everything switched to the new refrigerant style, making most things not backwards compatible - sorry about that :(.

You may be able to find old stock or a used component to make your current system work, but as far as new systems go, you could look into the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System Black - R32 # FR45TD (also available in white # FR73TD).

These are super quiet and very good quality. We've gotten a lot of really good feedback on them. Another nice thing is that these kits are multi-zone, meaning the thermostat can handle a second AC unit if you decide to add one in the future.
