Mike, I installed the Blue Ox Base Plate on my 2021 Jeep Gladiator this past fall. Everything you need for the base plate is provided and fits perfectly. The install took a little time, but easy to do yourself. I've towed the Jeep about 4000 miles now and there have been no issues at all. You will be pleased if you elect to install the Blue Ox baseplate on your Jeep. Good luck.

The base plate was easy. Two mods need to be done. First was the hole in the end of the frame rail has to be slotted out to accept the nut on a wire for a few of the bolts. I did it with a die grinder. The second is slotting the skid pan. Easy to do. The rest was straight forward. Took 2 hours on my 2025 gladiator sport.

It is easy to install, although the instruction booklet covers many different models and can be confusing. Be sure to follow only the instructions that fit your exact Jeep. I liked the way it installed, and the security of the unit to the frame. The cutting of the lower shield below the bumper to fit the base plate was the hardest part. I used a Dremel oscillating saw to cut the slots in the plastic lower shield. It fits great and looks good.

Easy install on my 2026 Gladiator Mojave after removing bumper and skip plate had to drill two frame holes, which was easy to get to , used a 4 inch grinder with a cutting blade on it to saw and paint the notches in the front metal skid plate after getting the tow hitch installed so I could use it for a template. Took me a long morning and am happy with fitment.

This base plate was for the most easy to install. No modifications needed. The hardest thing to do was the bottom skid plate and that wasn’t really too bad. I am very happy with the results.
