Looking for Replacement Leaf Spring for 2021 Grand Design 2800 BH with Dexter 4,400 lb Axle

Published 03/25/2026

Question:

Hello, I have a 2021 Grand Design 2800 BH with two Dexter 4400 pound axles and from what I can tell 2200 pound spring. I do have a CRE 3000 installed with the heavy duty shackles and wet bolts. After five years, my springs are flat and I’m looking to upgrade them. Can you please provide a recommendation and a link to a more sturdy upgraded spring? Thanks!

Hey Joseph, can you get me the length of the leaf springs? With that I would be able determine what spring you need. In the 4,400 lb axle we have one length with the part # DX95CR which is the most popular size of 25-1/4 inch. If you have a different length (measure without load on trailer) let me know and I'll find what would be best option.

Jameson the current springs are 4 leaf 2200 and went flat. Is there a 5 leaf or slightly high rated spring? Definitely 25-1/4”.

@JosephW We have the part # e44SR which is same length and rated for a 5k axle. It's a 4 leaf. To get to a 6k capacity you'd need to go with the part # e34SR which is for 6k axles.

@JosephW I wish I understood our pricing algorithm better but typically in situations like this it has more to do with availability and how often the spring is purchased. No difference in quality.
