Will Furrion Chill Cube Work With Firefly Integrations Control System

Hello, I am looking to replace my three Coleman Mach 13.5BTU units with three of these. They are controlled by the Firefly system that comes in the coach. It is a 2018 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 44H. What do I need to install these as well as continue to use the Firefly to control the A/C as well as the heatpumps? Thank you

Hey Jeremy! The Furrion Chill Low-Profile RV AC # FR39TQ is designed to work using its own thermostat or air distribution box (ADB) controls. The controllers on Furrion units prevent them from working with the Firefly system. Also, your old units are going to be R410A and everything moved to R32 refrigerant in 2025 due to EPA regulations. You can't replace just the AC unit, you need a complete system.
If you want to stick with Furrion the best option is the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump # FR97TQ. This still includes the heat pump and will be quieter and more efficient than the one you referenced. It also has more cooling power and can be controlled via the remote which acts as the thermostat. The remotes are the same between the systems so you can use one to control all three or strategically place them around the Endeavor to make the full system easier to use.
If integration with the Firefly system is really important to you I would reach out to Firefly Integrations and see what they say is compatible with your particular system. Some of the new R32 units aren't compatible with older smart systems because they operate at different pressures and temperatures. Newer GE units like # GE38RR (white) or # GE26RR (black) might be able to integrate but again, I would double check with Firefly first.
With the exception of the low-profile Furrion, these are all complete systems that come with everything you need for installation on a ducted setup. Do all of your Coleman Mach units have an air distribution box? If they don't, we don't have a replacement option that will work at this time.

Thank you for the response Robin. If I am replacing the whole unit why does the gas type matter? I understand I can't use the Firefly. Not the end of the world. I do not know if I have ADB's so will need to check on that. When you say I need a complete system, what does that mean. You stated the FR97Q would work better as a retrofit but that also is R32 so why would that work better than the FR39TQ? Sorry but this is all new to me.
