ford 250 2025 12,000 capacity dump trailer weighs 3,000 bought your 24000 lunette ring what is meant by never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component?

Hey Joe, in a towing setup you will always be limited by the lowest rated component as that would be the first thing to fail. That is why we say to never exceed the lowest rated towing component. So while the Curt Lunette Ring part # C48660 is rated for 24k your truck being rated at 12k would be the actual towing capacity since the truck would have failure issues before the ring. If I am understanding your numbers correctly it sounds like you would have 9,000 lbs of capacity left over for your trailer.
