Question:
I am replacing the brakes on a Magic Tilt boat trailer. It is dual 5.2K axles with UFP brakes currently 12inch rotors. I would like to try the Dacromat/Stainless package from Kodiak, but I am concerned about getting the calipers properly mounted. The torsion arm and spindle for the trailer is a Magic Tilt part# PH1330. Any assistance you can provide on the compatibility of the brake package with the caliper flange on the spindle/arm would be appreciated. I could not easily find any information on the proper depth of the brake flange, etc.. Alternatively, I am open to replacing the Torsion Arm/Spindle as well if there is a more compatible part available.

The correct Kodiak Disc Brake Kit for a 5,200 lb axle is part # K2R526S for stainless or part # K2R526D for dacroment. In regards to compatibility, the brake mounting flange and spindle size are the only factors we can confirm. I don't foresee any issues but test fitting would be the only way to confirm. There are no exclusions for torsion axle trailers in general.
