Question:
Id like to replace the tandem axle fenders on my boat trailer but im not sure which ones i need. Its the original trailer that came with the boat, 2003 Champion 203. The current fenders are 9 wide and 19 tall but im not sure if theyre OEM or were replaced at some point.

Hi Jeff; when you replace your fenders you want to do your best to match the dimensions of the existing fenders. Even if they were replaced at some point, that is the way to go about it. Do you know the length of your current fenders?
The Tandem Axle Trailer Fenders w/ Backing Plates # HP32VR you were looking at measure 72" long x 9" wide x 20-1/2" tall and are designed for trailers with 14" to 15" diameter wheels. If that matches the length (or if it is really close) then these will work as a replacement.

I haven’t replaced them yet mine seem to be pretty much straight forward to replace and according to measurements mine will fit perfectly

The fenders I bought were for a car trailer and yes you need to get the length and width right for your trailer. Mine worked out perfectly and I painted them with Rustolium spray cans. By the way OEM fenders were 4 times more expensive.

These fenders are kind of universal. I replaced the original fenders on my car hauling trailer and they are welded in place. I added a small spacer (3/16" X 1" bar about 8" long to fill the gap) but it was no big deal. I am very happy with them so far.
