Question:
Is there a way to tell how many watts the solar panels are producing on this controller?

Expert Reply:
Yes, there is Scott. The Go Power PWM Solar Charge Controller item # GP76QR will display the amps or current produced and battery voltage but it does not show the watts per panel. You'll be able to calculate the watts by multiplying the displayed amperage by the battery voltage. Amps x Voltage = Watts.
Now if you don't want to have to do math every time you want to see the voltage your panels are producing, I recommend the Victron SmartSolar 100/30 MPPT Solar Charge Controller item # VN62VR. You can access the wattage produced along with other data through the VictronConnect app.
What kind of devices or appliances are you wanting to power off of solar and how long do you plan on being off grid?
You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

Added this controller along with three 200 W panels on my motorhome two years ago. Controller handles up to 600 W, it was a perfect fit seamless to disconnect the original controller (also go power) and reconnect the new one. Fired up first time Bluetooth connectivity seamless. My panels are all go power as well. I know there are many cheaper brands of solar panels, I care more about value and not price. Go power delivers every time for me. I won’t use anything else.
