How to Determine Replacement Wiper Seals For Slide Outs on Malard

Question:
I have a 2016 Malard M292 with 3 slide outs. Rubber wipers are cracked and separated. Could not find the rubber wipers on your site. I did find one manufacture libert that was 1 1/4 wide not sure if this would fit. Need help

Hi Martin, I hear you on this, slide out seals can get confusing fast and the last thing you want is to install the wrong one and deal with leaks or rubbing.
The main thing to know is that we can’t match a wiper seal just by the RV model or the 1-1/4 inch width alone. The critical part is how the seal mounts and the shape of the base. There are several different styles like push on, stick on, and track mount, and even if two seals are the same width, they won’t work if the mounting style or profile is different. That’s why the Lippert 1-1/4 inch option part # LC25ED you found could be correct, but we can’t confirm it without seeing how your current seal attaches.
The best way to get this right the first time is to take a quick photo of the end of your current seal so I can see the profile, and also note whether it pushes onto a flange, slides into a track, or sticks on. Once we have that, I can match you to the exact replacement and take the guesswork out of it.

Agree with comments by Heather, it definitely has to be the correct seal. I installed on a 2015 Thor Siesta. (25ft on Sprinter chassis) Good news it is easy to install.. and works better than OEM seal. Notice the price is per inch .
