Can The Lippert LC240410 Wiper Seal Be Used On A Schwintek Slide-Out?

Updated 07/29/2026 | Published 07/19/2026

Question:

Is this wiper seal used for the bottom of the Schwinteck Lippert slide out under the rollers and along the wall of the RV under the slide to prevent light from showing inside the RV when slide is out?

Hey Susan, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Lippert Flat Wiper Seal # LC25ED is commonly used in that location. On many Schwintek slide-outs, it's installed along the bottom edge of the slide opening where it wipes against the underside of the slide room as it moves in and out. Its job is to help seal out water, dust, and debris, and it also helps block light from coming into the RV when the slide is extended.

The one thing I'd verify is the dimensions of your existing seal. Lippert has used several different wiper seals over the years, and while they may look similar, the mounting base and overall width can vary. If your current seal measures the same as the # LC25ED (1-1/4" wide), then it's a good replacement.

What kind of RV do you have?

Hi Jesse M. We have a 2016 Forest River 34QS Berkshire. One of the bedroom slide-outs (the slide-out where the dresser is located) has light showing through (on the inside of the RV) on both sides of the slide, when the Slide is out. The rubber seal under the slide out is 1.14 “wide. It is no longer effective and is letting light in. We need to replace it.

@Susan Ok gotcha. Sounds like the # LC25ED is exactly what you need then.
