Hi there! I'm Michael with www.etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this rubber wiper seal for your RV slide outs. And this is a 2 1/2 inch wide by 11/16th of an inch deep RV slide out seal that's gonna replace your old rail mounted wipers seal. So this will help stop water and pests from getting into your living area. This will replace the wiper seal for your Northwood Fox Mountain 235RLS fifth wheels and other RVs. Can also be used to replace wiper seals found on some compartment doors.
You are going to get 30 feet of this seal so it should do a good job of covering your whole slide out. This is constructed of a dense EPDM rubber construction that is going to be resistant to UV damage, so it's not going to shrink, crack, or fade over time. And this is actually gonna be an upgrade over components that are found in many RVs. So this could be a better material for your RV than what you currently have installed on there. You can see this does have this bald tip that's going to run along the length of it.
That's gonna help to keep the fold out where it needs to be. So it's going to catch on there, give it the support it needs, so that when you're extending your slide out it will be on the correct side and it's not going to get caught in there as you're pulling it back in and that sort of thing. So it's gonna do exactly what you need it to do. It's very easy to get this installed. You've got this clamp that runs all the way down.
That metal clamp is fully surrounded by our EPDM rubber so we're not gonna have to worry about corrosion and that sort of thing. Very easy to install this, just push it into your existing railing for your weather stripping. This is gonna be compatible with these Steele Rubber products bulb seals for added weatherproofing when your slide outs are closed to make sure that there's gonna be a nice tight seal there. So that might be a potential add on to consider. This is made here in the USA so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US.

I worked 6 hrs trying to install on 10' total bedroom slide, would not just press in used 2"x 6" board & hard rubber mallet, still rolled over & pulled out when putting slide in. Friend came to help spent another 3 hrs with 3/4" steel dowel and mallet to finally get seated in channel. put slide in, then out seal rolls over going in & only some comes out when putting slide out. Would not recommend this product to worst enemy.Now stuck with @25' extra.

Saved $$$ DIY. If you have patience you can do it. A MUCH better product than was originally installed at the time purchased brand new. Creates a great seal. Allow a couple inches more for each slide out when ordering to allow for a good seal with a tad bit of overhang. Don’t want to see any daylight. Spraying a small amount of seal lubricant AND I DO MEAN SMALL on edge will help with it sliding. Too much and your hands can’t keep a grip. VERY GOOD PRODUCT.

So far so good. The Grand Design Image slide setup makes it a bit of a challenge to replace the “Tired” seals. It would be the same on whichever system is used. The sales are very close and offer very little room to work. Other than that I’m liking this design replacement. It’s still to early to be totally certain

The inside wiper seals all needed replace on our camper. They were the press in style. These were a little harder to install on the inside with much room to work with but I hope they will last longer.

Can’t believe factory seal ripped after 5 years. This one seems a lot better. Fast delivery and good tracking. I have use them twice now. Next year I will probably do inside seal too.

Easy install on my Fox Mountain
Purchased this item and SR79FR Bulb Seal for my 2011 Outdoors RV Wind River 2702BS. These items were a perfect match to the original and pretty easy to install. The bulb seal was a little more difficult than the wiper seal. Helpful hint clean out the rail that the bulb seal slides or pops into. I was surprised at the amount of dirt and build up inside the track. I used a little white grease in the track and it made popping the bulb seal in much easy. The wiper seal just clips over the metal flange. I used a rubber mallet and small block of wood to make sure the c-clip sealed on the flange. A great product from Steele Rubber Products and great service and price from Etrailer.

I was told that this rubber seal was discontinued, but I found it at E trailer. He saved the day.
