Parts Needed to Install Redarc Tow Pro Liberty in 2022 Honda Passport with 7-Way

Hi, I’m looking to purchase a brake controller for my 2022 Honda Passport. I’ve installed the hitch, factory wire harness for the 7-pin connector, and the factory transmission cooler as my vehicle did not come with the towing package. I’m interested in the Redarc controller and have seen others use it in this application, but your website does not list it for the Passport. Please let me know what I need to make this work for my application. Thank you. Bret Gerding

Hey Bret, while you did install the OEM 7-way in your 2022 Honda Passport you do not have the factory brake controller install wiring so to install a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty you would need the universal kit part # RED52VR and then you would need to hardwire it in to your factory 7-way with the install kit part # 5506. What are you planning on towing?

Hi Jameson, After doing a bunch of research, I was reasonably confident that the Red Arc controller with the adapter harness TPH-013 would fit the Passport as its listed to fit a Ridgeline. I purchased the Liberty Pro controller and the harness elsewhere and installed it and sure enough, it all plugs in and works perfectly. Red Arc needs to update their listing to include the Passport for this application.
