Question:

I was wondering if I can use this hitch with my Geny Hitch on my 5th wheel. I really need the extra height

Hey Bob, you can use the Curt RockerBall Multi-Fit Ball Kit w/ 4" Offset # C78ZV with a Gen-Y fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter like it sounds like you have currently. This will give you an additional 1-1/2 inches of height like it sounds like you are looking for. How do you like the Gen-y? Do you need more height so that the trailer sits level and still clears bed rails.

It's a nice product but I had a few issues. The hardware that came with gave me issues same as it did to big truck big rv YouTube channel. I had to purchase other bolts and locking nuts. The hitch is well made which makes it very heavy. The only other issue is ride height. With my 5th wheel adjusted as low as it goes it still sits at a little angle. The hitch gives great bedrail clearance but will not work with some trailers because of being 7 inches tall or so. It solved one problem somewhat created another. I wish I would of went with regular offset ball instead of rocker version. I think the height would of been more suitable.

I have a 2017, F350 Super Duty Short box and needed to move the hitch location back for cab clearance in turns. It works great but had to raise the goose neck hitch about 1 1/2" For a level ride.
