Hey Guy, so the Gen-Y fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter part # GY98GR can be used with a short bed Ram 3500 but it sounds like your real question is will this allow for turning clearance which that answer to that is "it depends."

If the trailer has a tapered nose it's probably going to be fine but if the nose is totally square without any taper you'd most likely have a hard time with tighter corners.

If your 2022 Ram 3500 has the OEM gooseneck hitch though you can use the Gen-Y ball kit part # GY83XR which will give the ball an additional 5 inches of offset. This will help either trailer nose setup but may not be quite enough if the trailer has a square nose.
