Updated 02/13/2026 | Published 02/09/2026

Question:

Hello, I have a 2015 Chevy 2500hd WT 6.6 Duramax with the stock BandW turn over hitch in it. The site is telling me the 3700 companion is not a fit for my truck? What is the correct one I need to purchase? Thank you

Hey Doran, thanks for reaching out. We do have the B&W Companion hitch for your 2015 Chevy 2500 with the B&W Turnoverball. The 3700 hitch you mentioned is for the Chevy/GMC factory puck system, so instead you will want the following:

- B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3400

This will drop right into the Turnoverball system and give you a Companion 5th wheel connection.

What kind of camper are you hauling?

If I have an 8’ bed do I still need the slider? Or the stationary?

@DoranE Ah glad you mentioned that. For the long bed you will need the fixed hitch, not the slider. Here is the exact part: - B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3500

@DoranE You don't need the slider with the 8' bed. I got my slider a few months ago and put it in a F-250 with a short bed. Definitely built to last, very heavy duty. 2 people to put it in or take it out if you don't have another way to lift it. Keep the gooseneck insert greased up. Also when I wasn't sure which one to buy, I called, the etrailer team was super helpful and got me on my way.

I purchased the BW slider about a year ago. It works perfectly I have a short bed f250. It’s a beast but best ride I’ve had pulling a 38’ Montana High Country. Easy installation I don’t have extra person use straps and a tractor. High quality product
