Question:

Does the morryde add a step still fit correctly if you have the lower hand rail kit attached. Also what is the weight capacity. Thank you

Hello Greg,

Thanks for writing in, great question!

The MORryde Add-A-Step for 23-1/2" Wide Step Above Treads # MR26MV will fit correctly even if the lower handrail kit is installed. The reason is that the handrail attaches to the side frame of the StepAbove step assembly, while the Add-A-Step mounts underneath the top step, so the two components do not share mounting points or interfere with each other. Because of this, the handrail will still fold and operate normally once the Add-A-Step is installed.

In terms of weight capacity, the Add-A-Step does not have a separate rating of its own because it is designed to be used as part of the StepAbove system. The MORryde StepAbove entry steps are rated for up to 500 lbs, and the Add-A-Step is intended to support that same weight capacity when installed properly.

Did you double check to make sure that your steps are the Gen 2 StepAbove steps?
