Can You Get an Adapter to Use the Curt Helux with a Different Pin Box Number Other than the Rhino?

I have a 2023 Grand Design Reflection MK320. I dont believe it has the Rhino pin box, are there adapters or can I use this pin box?

Hello Don,

It comes with great sadness to tell you that there is not adapters that will work for you to use the Curt Helux # C73RJ with a different pin box number. At this time they are only making it for the Rhino. Let's not give up hope though, there should be a sticker on your current pinbox (I attached a picture so you know what to look for), can you please send me the information or shoot me over a picture so I can reach out to Lippert to get your pinbox number?

@Don Thanks Don for the info! Lippert was able to confirm that you have the Lippert 1621 5th Wheel Pin Box - 15,500 lbs # LC1191191. I usually like when I tell a customer they were right, in this case it is unfortunate. You do not have a Rhino, you pin box is the Lippert 1621. I know you had your heart on the Helux, but the Curt Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 - 18,000 lbs # LC328492 would still be an excellent upgrade compared to what you have on there now. If you would like to send me over your GVWR I am happy to see what would be the right Gen-Y for you, just say the word. I attached two review videos to check out for the Curt Flex and the Gen-Y as it is a great way to get a good feel for the products before making that final decision. I hear great things about the Gen-Y!

@KateF My Reflection 320 MKS GVW is 14,000. I guess I need to know the pin weight for the Gen Y, right? I'm more interested in the Gen Y then the Curt with the air bag. Let me know if you need any additional info, TY

@Don Hey Don, To figure out your pin weight for the Gen-Y we take the GVWR and times it by 0.22 which gives me 3,080, so if you look at the chart on the product page that would put you in the 4,500 pound pin weight category. The correct one for your 2023 Grand Design Reflection MK320 with pin box 1621 is the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621HD - 30K - 4.5K TW # GY68GR. I don't blame you about the Curt Flex, we got pretty excited when we heard about the Helux because it doesn't have a bag, one less thing that can fail. Let me know what you end up going with, and I would love some feedback once you get things set up.
