Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at this Pop Step Gap Guard for the MORryde StepAbove 23 and a half inch wide and the Lippert SolidStep 24 inch wide two-step assemblies. So two-step assemblies, you only need one of these to fill the gap between those two steps. Now, I'm gonna throw an image up on the screen. It is more steps than what you need, but I kind of just want use it to show what this is doing.
So, and I think it kind of shows better on a larger step personally. So you can see on this particular set, I believe that's the three steps, there's two of these and they're covering that back spot. They're blocking the open space between the steps. It's gonna improve footing when you're stepping up. And for our four-legged friends, it reduces the fear and hesitation.
A lot of pets won't go up or they're a little skittish to go up steps 'cause they can see through 'em. Whereas if you have this on there, now they're gonna more confidently go up and there's nothing to worry about. And these just literally pop on in seconds. There's no tools, no hardware needed. They literally just kind of go over.
You can see the molding kinda like a J-shape, if you will. That's just gonna hold onto the, excuse me, the frame of the step itself, and it's gonna just stay in place. It's a rubberized material. It's foldable, bendable. You can fold your steps up with this installed; it's not gonna interfere with any of that at all.
And when it's time to clean 'em, you just simply take 'em off, power wash 'em, spray 'em off by hand, brush 'em off. It's a real simple, quick, easy install and removal and cleanup. That's gonna wrap up our quick look together at these Pop Step Gap Guard. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.

Arrived in a few days, easy install. So far I like them.
Easy install and reasonable price for something I was going to attempt to fabricate myself. Saved a bunch of time. Glad I found these.
Perfect fit and easy to install!
The gap guards keep falling off from the back of the steps even with the stick on lock pieces. This happens mainly when the outside temperature is hot 90-95 degrees F.
Don’t waste your money on these unless you have a good imagination and are handy with modifications. I followed their instructions first and the covers wouldn’t stay in place. So I watched the video and made retainers like it showed but they are just too flimsy and continue to fall off. I already threw away all the packaging so I guess I’ll have to secure them with screws.
Great product. Fits great. I would say, don’t glue the instructions on the product. It left a sticky glue mess that I had to use goo gone and then wash it really good.
Fit perfectly and made it so our small dog feels confident to go up our travel trailer steps.

Don’t stick the instruction booklet bag onto the item — the adhesive residue stays and is hard to remove
These step guards get hot and warp causing them to fall off without even touching them. Even when it’s cold with the slightest bump they fall off
Don't know if I was shipped the wrong ones but these are terrible. There's no chance they will stay on when folding up the steps. They barely hang on the stair channels and droop about 2" from the back of the stairs. If you touch them they fall off. Will return and look for something else.
It's just a stair tread used backwards. The instructions are glued to the back of the stair treads, but that is the front of the guards. The first thing you have to do before you install them is get some solvent and clean the glue off the "guard" before it gets covered with dirt and looks terrible. The clips are pieces of tread cut off the edge with a knife and a piece of adhesive tape stuck on them. There are so many was to improve this product. Did you ever hear of this new tool called a table saw? The edge of your "clips" would atleast be straight. Check out other options. These are over priced rubber stair treads.
I have the MORryde steps. These things fall off if touched with my toes. Anything greater than 10 mph breeze they fall off too. Bought these for so my dog wouldnt be scared to climb steps. Turned out dog treats are much better at ecouraging to climb steps and cheaper.

Excellent but I ordered wrong size and cut it down I thought there were 2 in my order so I orderd the 20" one yesterday and to my surprise it was 2x as much can u look into it please for 40$ I can cut another down ! Thanks Brent
These things are garbage and a hazard, especially if your intended use is to truly close the gap so your dog's paws can't slip through when going up the steps.
They DO NOT stay attached. They fall off if you bump them with the toe of your foot, your dog bumps them with their paw, or if a slight breeze blows. You'd have to screw them into your stairs if you wanted to use them in any reasonable fashion. There are much better options than these flimsy plastic flaps, if you're going to go to those lengths.
As for the description - do better, E-Trailer. Make it clear in the initial visible description that you are only getting ONE of these overpriced pieces of junk.
I ordered the step covers as well as the gap guards and they don't stay on. I installed them on my 2025 FR View 5th wheel and the next morning they were hanging off. I will add some panhead stainless steel screws to the step lips and that should work. For how much they cost I was very disappointed!
