PopStep Gap Guards, Pup Step Edition, block the see-through gaps between RV steps that can feel scary for dogs and distracting for people. Closing those spaces takes the uncertainty out of the stairs, making them easier to see and safer to use.
Open gaps between RV steps can affect footing when stepping up, especially when you're carrying gear or moving quickly in and out. PopStep Gap Guards block that open space, giving your foot a more solid place to land and helping prevent slips or awkward missteps between steps.
For pets, open stair gaps can be confusing or intimidating, especially when they can see straight through the steps. By blocking that opening, the gap guards help pets feel safer using the stairs instead of hesitating, slipping, or refusing to climb.
Each panel seats into the lip of the upper step and rests on the step below. No tools or permanent modifications are required, and the steps still fold normally when it's time to move.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the PopStep Gap Guard for the MORryde StepAbove 19-1/2-inch wide, and the Lippert SolidStep 20-inch-wide 3-Step Steps. So, folks, you only need two of these because you're only covering those two spaces in between the steps. Now, I do have an image up here on the screen. Obviously, this is a 4-step, but you get the picture, right It's filling in those gaps in between the steps.
Great for reducing fear and hesitation caused by open gaps for our four-legged friends as well. Now, these are gonna install really, really quick and easy, honestly. So, they're just like a heavy-duty kind of rubber. And as you can see, they have kinda like a J-hook, kind of design on both sides. They're literally gonna just pop over the frame and the step of the steps and go right into place.
So, easy install, no tools, no fastener, no bolts, nothing permanent or altering of your current steps. And these measure 19-1/2 inches long x 8-1/2 inches tall. And what I like about 'em is when you take 'em off, you can easily take 'em off, clean 'em, wash 'em off, whatever, mud, snow, dirt, grime, anything. You gotta wash it off. You can pop 'em right back on in seconds or leave them on and spray 'em off when they're installed as well.
And closing today with the video, you can also use these during normal step operation or storage. Meaning, if you have folding steps, no problem. Leave these installed. You can fold up, take it down. It's not gonna change any of that either.
So, folks, a nice little product. This is the PopStep Gap Guard. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Arrived in a few days, easy install. So far I like them.
Perfect fit and easy to install!
I ordered the step covers as well as the gap guards and they don't stay on. I installed them on my 2025 FR View 5th wheel and the next morning they were hanging off. I will add some panhead stainless steel screws to the step lips and that should work. For how much they cost I was very disappointed!
Excellent but I ordered wrong size and cut it down I thought there were 2 in my order so I orderd the 20" one yesterday and to my surprise it was 2x as much can u look into it please for 40$ I can cut another down ! Thanks Brent
Doesn’t hold firmly / doesn’t stay securely in place.
Don’t stick the instruction booklet bag onto the item — the adhesive residue stays and is hard to remove
Great product. Fits great. I would say, don’t glue the instructions on the product. It left a sticky glue mess that I had to use goo gone and then wash it really good.
Fit perfectly and made it so our small dog feels confident to go up our travel trailer steps.
Don't know if I was shipped the wrong ones but these are terrible. There's no chance they will stay on when folding up the steps. They barely hang on the stair channels and droop about 2" from the back of the stairs. If you touch them they fall off. Will return and look for something else.
These things are garbage and a hazard, especially if your intended use is to truly close the gap so your dog's paws can't slip through when going up the steps.
They DO NOT stay attached. They fall off if you bump them with the toe of your foot, your dog bumps them with their paw, or if a slight breeze blows. You'd have to screw them into your stairs if you wanted to use them in any reasonable fashion. There are much better options than these flimsy plastic flaps, if you're going to go to those lengths.
As for the description - do better, E-Trailer. Make it clear in the initial visible description that you are only getting ONE of these overpriced pieces of junk.
Easy install and reasonable price for something I was going to attempt to fabricate myself. Saved a bunch of time. Glad I found these.
