Will Roadmaster Comfort Ride System # RM-2460-2560 Fit 2021 Grand Design Imagine 22R

Question:

I own a 2021 Grand Design Imagine 22R. Dual 3 Axles 3500 lbs. GVRW 7000 lbs. Axles are 35 apart and hangers are 61. The existing leaf springs have a 2200 lbs each capacity. Will a Roadmaster Comfort ride 2560 work or is it an overkill?

Hey Timothy, thanks for all of the info you listed from your 2021 Grand Design Imagine 22R. From knowing all of that yes the Roadmaster Comfort Ride system part # RM-2460-2560 would fit and work great.

This is designed for 3 inch diameter axles like you have and would be just a little rated over what you have now so the ride quality would not be harsh. Right now you leaf spring capacity per axle of 4,400 lbs and with this kit it would be 5k so it wouldn't be a drastic amount and the shocks will make a huge difference making it feel a lot softer.

Hey Timothy, how did the Roadmaster Comfort Ride setup work out on your Grand Design Imagine 22R? It sounds like the shocks should have made a noticeable difference in ride quality. Your update could make it easier for others looking at the same upgrade.

@JamesonC I did not go with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride because I was concerned it would be more suspension than I would need for my rig and was concerned it would make it too stiff. I chose to go with the CRE-3000 and Lippert shocks. Have not had a chance to test the ride yet.
