Question:
TorkLift Cannon Hitch Extension - 3 Ford Super Duty Factory Hitch - 36 Long Part Number: TLE1636 Can you use a drop hitch and WD system with this? I have a 2015 Ford F350 superduty and want to buy a truck camper and tow my enclosed trailer and race car?

Hey Randy, yes you can use weight distribution with the TorkLift Cannon Hitch Extension # TLE1636 that you referenced. This actually has higher towing capacities when you use it with a WD system than without. Here are it's towing capacities:
Maximum gross trailer weight: 3,600 lbs
Maximum GTW when used with weight distribution: 7,200 lbs
Maximum tongue weight: 360 lbs
Maximum TW when used with weight distribution: 720 lbs
Do you already have a weight distribution system?

I had this hitch extension on my F350 and carried an Eagle Cap 1200 for almost 20,000 miles towing various sized bass boats never problem or worry . You said we’re looking to by a camper. I have my Eaglecap 1200 for sale. Is 2020 with several add ons plus the tie downs . Price on camper includes hitch extension and more. Can be seen on RVTrader and other sites.

I use this extension on my 2022 F350 SRW with a Lance 1025 model camper. I tow an equipment trailer with a jeep on it at about 6000lbs total weight using a weight distribution system. I have had great success with this. Make sure you use a weight safe or some sort of TW scale to get it dialed in to less than the 720lbs. I also added air bags to my truck to get the ride height dialed in just right. I have used it for 3 years and have been all over CA, AZ, UT, NV and have never had any issues with it.

I use this hitch extension on my 2019 F350 Super Duty. I have a 960 Eagle cap camper and pull a Hewescraft 200 Searunner boat with it. The hitch is solid and does not move around when everything is tightened as should be. It sticks out enough that I do not have to crawl under the truck to disconnect the safety chains, electrical plug or adjust my hitch, if necessary.. solid product and highly recommend.
