Good morning Brian! Yes sir, the PowerMax # PM84VR 100 amp converter can replace a Progressive Dynamics PD-9180 standalone converter as that is a direct replacement. Both units are designed to supply high-current 12V power and charge larger battery banks.
It will wire in where your old one was and work basically the same way. This unit is updated and has different smart charging profiles, and works with just about any battery type (flooded, AGM, gel, and lithium batteries etc.).
