Question:

This question is regarding your Hollywood Racks for bikes. What is meant by needing adapters if the tire is over four inches? Do you sell them and if so how much and are they installed?

For the Hollywood Racks CrossTrack Bike Rack part # HLY98RR we do state "Fat Tire Ready: Carries a bike with tires up to 4" wide without needing adapters." There are a lot of bike racks out there that can't hold a 4" wide tire without additional adapters, but with the CrossTrack, it's not needed. There isn't an adapter that would allow the rack to hold a larger width tire.

If you have a wider tire you can use the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo bike rack part # RKY10007. This rack will work with up to 5" wide tires.
