Recommended Flat Towing Parts for a 2025 Ford Bronco Outer Banks

Published 11/09/2025

Question:

I am purchasing a new Ford Bronco Outer Banks edition and want to tow it behind my Class A RV. I am interested in your recommendations for Tow Bar, Base Plate, Electrical and Supplimental Braking. Currently I use Blue Ox with Air Force One on my F150. Ive heard Road Master may be a better tow bar. Do you recommend one over the other? Will Air Force One work in the Bronco as it did in the F150? What do I need for wiring the turn signals, brakes, and battery booster?

Hey Bruce, congrats on that new Bronco! There is not a big enough difference in Blue Ox and Roadmaster tow bars to justify switching over to the opposite brand. Some people say Blue Ox is easier to hook up and disconnect. The Roadmaster ones have an aluminum construction so they are lighter and more rust resistant.

Which Blue Ox tow bar do you have and what kind of lights does your Bronco have? LED or incandescent?

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

The Demco Air Force one like item # SM99243 or item # DM26VR is going to work great with your 2025 Bronco. This system is amazing and I would not recommend changing over to another brand. Plus there's a charge line that's designed specifically for it and is less expensive. We have the Second Vehicle Kit for Demco Air Force One item # SM99209 and the Towed Vehicle Reinstall Kit item # SM99226 to get you all set up and changed over.

Here are the rest of the parts you need to flat tow a 2025 Ford Bronco Outer Banks:

Base Plate Kit - Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU23XR

Charge Line Kit - Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line Kit for Demco Air Force One and Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking Systems item # DM66VR

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights item # RO94FR or item # RM26FR for the entire kit with a new umbilical cable and connectors or the Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights item # RO44FR or item # RM38FR for the entire kit.

Vehicle Connector - Roadmaster Bent Electrical Socket Bracket item # RM-910030-5 and the RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector item # RM-910030-7. You won't need these if you purchase the full wiring harness kits because the connector and bracket are included with them. I didn't know if you kept your cable or wanted to get a new one so I through in options for both.
