Will DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit With 02475 Outer Bearing Fit 7k Dexter Axle With 14125A Outer Bearing

Question:

Hello Randy, I have a tri-axel Dexter 7k pt # 11241998 axle with drum brakes. I am looking to convert to disc brakes. The current axle has outer bearing #14125A. and inner bearing 25580. All have 9/16 studs. Looking at options for the disc brakes I would like to go with Dee Maxx. The Kit is DE26AR. This kit has outer bearings # 02475 and inner 25580 (Same as my existing bearing.) My question, can I change the outer bearings from #14125A to # 02475 bearing if I am using the DE26AR kit? Thank you, Ray M

Hello Ray; the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers # DE26AR will fit the Dexter 7k axles on your trailer. The # 02475 bearing used in the kit has the same 1.250" inner diameter as your existing # 14125A making them interchangeable on the spindle so that won't be an issue.

Hey Ray, how did the swap to the DeeMaxx disc brake kit go on your Dexter axles? It sounds like the bearing interchange worked out smoothly. Sharing how it performed could help others planning the same upgrade.
