Will Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator Match TDE 660 Bolt Pattern

Question:
Planning on replacing a tiedown model 660 with disc brakes, that came with my load master trailer. Had a lot of trouble with the solenoid and have replaced it a couple times. Was wondering if the Dexter model that you sell that is rated for over 7000 pounds will have the same bolt pattern as my tiedown 660 mode? Also are tied down and Dexter actually the same company?

Hey Kent! Yes, the Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator # 099-175-20 will match the existing bolt pattern from your old Tie Down Engineering (TDE) 660. The mounting holes are 3" apart on center. TDE actually still exists but they sold their axle, brake and actuation business assets to Dexter back in 2017. Dexter has carried over some of the old models with their own updates/improvements.

Hey Kent, how did the swap to the Dexter DX7.5 actuator go on your Load Master trailer? It’d be great to hear if the bolt pattern lined up as expected. Your update could make it easier for others replacing their old Tie Down setup.
