Availability Of Grease Seal With 1.77" OD And 1.25" ID

Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 10/26/2025

Question:

I cannot seem to find a bearing seal that is 1.77 OD - 1.25 ID. Do you happen to know how I might get my hands on a couple. I have an old utility trailer that I believe was bought from Sears decades ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some grease caps with the same OD would also be awesome. Anyway, thanks for your time.

Hello James, thanks for reaching out. The closest thing we have to that is the Timken Grease Seal # TMK56ZR. This has a 1.250" ID and 1.758" OD. So pretty close to what you need but the ID may be a hair small. I am sorry to say we do not have anything that would be an exact match.

A lot of older trailer use oddball/obsolete seal and bearing sizes and it sounds like this may be the case here. If so, we would next look at replacing your hubs, or replacing the axle with something more standard.

Let me know if this is something you want to look into.

Hey James, did the Timken grease seal end up working for your old utility trailer? Your update could make it easier for others trying to match older hub sizes. Let me know if you decided to look into new hubs or an axle replacement.
