Will B and W Companion Hitch Head with 18k Capacity Fit Replacement Companion Base # BWRVB3710
Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 10/24/2025 >
Question:
Will this base fit an 18000 lb rated head? I have an 18,000 lb BW 5th wheel hitch will this work with the top section of my hitch? If so does it upgrade the capacity to 20,000 lbs?

Hey Mike, yes the B and W Companion Hitch base part # BWRVB3710 that you referenced does fit the Companion hitch head that you have now that is rated at 18k. The Companion hitches were uprated a few years ago without changing the fit of their components. We can't guarantee you'd have the full 20k capacity though.
