What Replaces A 010-054-00 Seal On An Airstream With A 4,300 Pound Axle?
Updated 10/15/2025 | Published 10/13/2025 >
Question:
I have a Dexter axle 4300 lb on our Airstream. The spec sheet for the axle calls out a part number of 010-054-00 for the grease seals. I cant seem to find this anywhere but perhaps the part number changed?

Hi Dan!
You are correct. The part number has changed, but we got you!
The TruRyde Grease Seals 10-36 (pair) # RG06-070 you found are the correct replacement. I'm not 100% sure why they changed/did away with the part number, but you do have a 10-36 seal, which will help for future reference.
Are you doing post season maintenance or getting ready for a trip?

Thank you for the reply. I finally got someone at Dexter who confirmed what you indicated as well. Apparently, the 10-54 was single lip and now the 10-36 is new and improved double lip. Drives ya nuts when companies change part numbers without referencing the old.
