Question:
I have a two axle trailer with one axle equiped with hydraulic brakes. I assume I remove the hydrulic brake plates and install new electric brakes plates, wire to standard trailer connector and add a break-a-way kit with battery and charger. I assume I can use my nearly new looking old 10 inch brake drums. Am I correct?

With 10 inch brakes, you can re-use your old drums so long as they are in good condition, and not scored or cracked. You would use part # AKEBRK-35R for your right hand side brake assembly and part # AKEBRK-35L for your left hand side.
You could also use Self Adjust brake assemblies that do not require brake adjustment as they automatically adjust to deliver proper braking force. They are part # AKEBRK-35R-SA for right hand side and part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for left hand.
I have also included a link to an installation and wiring video for electric brakes.
