Do I need to use different safety chain hookups since this is a pintle?

No worries, Eddie - your safety chains attach to the receiver hitch loops just like with a ball mount. The pintle portion doesn’t have chain tabs. Just make sure you’re crossing them under the coupler or ring for proper safety setup.
I see you were looking at the 2" 15K with 8" drop from Weigh Safe # WS59WR with the built-in scale. You can also get the 8" drop in 2.5" receiver size (22K) with part # WS97WR, or the 8" drop in 3" receiver size (also 22K) with part # WS89WR.
What truck and trailer will you be using this drop hitch with pintle and balls on?
