7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for 2017 Ford Edge

Looking for a brake controller with wiring and 7 wire plug that will work with a 2017 Ford Edge. The Ford Edge already has a hitch and 4 wire trailer plug. Please provide options. I will be towing a 2,000 lbs. pop up tent trailer with electric brakes.

Hey Joe, to convert the 4-way of your 2017 Ford Edge to a 7-way and wire in a brake controller you would want the # ETBC7 kit that you referenced. This comes with everything you'd need except for a brake controller. Then for a brake controller you would want the P3 part # 90195 which is widely considered to be the best and most reliable brake controller around.
If you were wanting something with a smaller footprint the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR would be a great option as well. I would only put a small knob on your dash.
